Keeko Kids

THE BRIEF

Design and illustrate a collection of colouring pads - packed with expressive characters, bold compositions, and imaginative scenes that spark creativity and bring joy to young minds.

COLOURING IN TIME

Keeko Kids asked us to create a set of colouring sheets that would appeal to children with very different tastes, so the brief offered two directions: action and adventure, or cute and character-led.

We illustrated all six themes: Sports, Travel and Superheroes, alongside a Teddy Bears’ Tea Party, Circus and Carnival, and Safari.

Each sheet needed to feature the Keeko mascot, so we worked on bringing him into every scene in a way that felt natural, whether he was joining in the action or sitting down for tea. We used clear, confident linework and left plenty of open space, so children can colour at their own pace and make each scene their own. The finished set is playful, characterful and ready to print, giving Keeko Kids a collection that works for both adventurers and animal lovers.

We began with rough sketches for each theme, sharing them with the Keeko Kids team so we could agree on the layout and how the mascot would appear before moving on to final linework.

Keeping the designs easy to colour was a priority throughout, so we balanced detailed scenes with larger shapes that suit younger children, and made sure each sheet worked on its own as well as part of the wider set.

The result is a collection that gives children plenty of choice, whether they want to colour a superhero rescue or a teddy bears’ tea party!
