Playworker Amber
THE BRIEF
To produce a comprehensive rebrand for Playworker Amber, an NSPCC Champion of Childhood, highlighting Amber’s commitment to child advocacy, enhancing her professional presence, and creating a visual identity that reflects her passion for PLAY, safeguarding, and the well-being of children!
THE PROJECT
The rebrand for Playworker Amber, an NSPCC Champion of Childhood, was developed to capture Amber’s warmth, energy, and dedication to child-led play. The goal was to create a vibrant and approachable visual identity that reflected her joyful personality and her mission to promote creativity, exploration, and well-being in children.
The main logo combines bold, playful typography with an illustrated character of Amber, making the brand feel personable and instantly recognisable.
The bright, multicoloured palette reinforces the theme of playfulness and mirrors Amber’s enthusiasm for her work with children. To ensure flexibility across platforms and materials, several colour variations of the logo were produced, maintaining a consistent yet adaptable visual identity.
THE CHARACTERS
The brand’s characters come together to spell P.L.A.Y., each one bursting with personality and celebrating creativity, inclusivity, and fun.
PLAYSPIRATION
We were asked to produce graphics for social media to support Playworker Amber’s brand, creating visual content that helps parents and carers make the most of everyday items, like sticks, as play resources. The graphics provide simple, imaginative ideas for activities, encouraging children to explore, experiment, and engage with the natural world. They demonstrate how ordinary objects can spark creativity, problem-solving, and fun, showing that play doesn’t need expensive toys—just a little imagination and guidance.
EMBEDDING PLAY
Playworker Amber collaborated with Tapestry to create a Beginner’s Guide to Embedding Play, accompanied by an article exploring creativity, daily play routines, and integrating play into early childhood education.
Aimed at educators, nannies, childminders, primary school staff, and others, the guide and article provide practical, research-backed strategies to keep play at the heart of children’s development, supporting growth through movement, discovery, and joyful experiences.
We designed and illustrated the accompanying graphics to visually enhance the article and bring its ideas to life.
“Wow! This looks wonderful! AMAZING!
Thank you so much - this means the world to me”
